History.
Established in 1968, Kalstan
engineering has been manufacturing high precision components
from medical instruments to more commercial products. With a
great deal of design and manufacturing experience, one of
its members with 20 years experience in angling put forward
an idea that could really benefit anglers. He pointed out
that the quantity and weight of many items that he needed to
carry to the bank was just to much to bear. With this in
mind and over 12 months in testing, we came up with a new
concept in banksticks and buzzer bars. The first task was
reducing the weight, which in using aluminum alloy we found
that the weight decrease was up to three hundred percent
compared to stainless steel in the equivalent item.
The second and most
challenging problem was adaptability. The result creating
the "Interlok modular kit", as simple as a lego kit. All parts are
interchangeable, so any style of set up can be created from
single bankstick two rod setups, to goalpost style three or
four rod setups.
